Keeping Busy!

This past month of my senior year has seemed to FLY BY.  I can’t tell you how busy 20 credits will keep you.  Although I’ve never been one to appreciate homework, I’ve gotten in such a groove of doing it every night, I’ve become accustomed.  Call me crazy, I know.  Along with my class load, I’ve been searching for job like a bloodhound.  There are so many factors that go into it!  Where do I want to live?  What avenue of a career would I like to take?  How much salary should I desire?  Detail by detail, application by application, I’m feel like I’m starting to make headway with my search.  I’ve dedicated at least one day a week to solely filling out applications, writing cover letters and researching different elements that are important to me.  Turning the page to this new chapter in my life is exciting and nerve racking!

Aside from the job search, I’ve been watching the ABC show “Shark Tank”.  Let’s just say…I’m addicted.  I have an invention in mind right now, but have to figure out the steps to take to make it happen!  We shall see.  - watch one episode and you will be hooked!

Any comments or advice are welcome!  Have a great Monday and rest of your week!

Easing into it…

Ok, so EVERYONE these days has a blog…even my mom- so, here goes nothing!  Forewarning, it’s extremely hard to be witty via internet but I will do my darnedest!  The unique beauty of blogs is that there are absolutely, positively, no rules!  I love being able to jump from one blog to another and have them be entirely different.  Reading (stalking, to be honest) personal experiences and inner thoughts that others have shared via blogs without having to directly reply is something that will never get old. Oh gosh, I’m blogging about blogs.

Lets change the pace, I plan to be blogging about my triumphs and tribulations as a young professional.  I’m taking 20 credits right now so I can graduate a semester early (in December)…talk about being swamped!  Although I’m busy busy busy, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and feel the excitement as well as apprehension mounting.  This past year I had the wonderful opportunity to intern at one of the best public relation firms in the Midwest; Truscott Rossman.  I acquired so many valuable experiences and insight from the team that will be extremely useful in my job search and place of employment.  I’m only 21, I have many years ahead of me- I hope you will see my blog as inspiration, comic relief and enjoyment.

It’s such a beautiful day today, go and enjoy it! Happy fall!!
